“Our guide Slimmy was fantastic. He took time to know our names, made a playlist of each member’s favourite song, was very informative yet not too much info overload. The first winery was impressive— all the wines were good; Mahmood from Bangladesh was excellent and very entertaining and knowledgeable whereas the Croft guide was blah and rather dismissive. Slimmy was super friendly and took photos for us at the Vale do Mendis. The river cruise was not exciting.”

He was very knowledgeable about the entire area. The boat ride was one of the most unique views of any trip. The grape leaves changing fall colors were absolutely stunning, along with the history of the area. There was more port and food than could be eatten! The drive in to Douro was also a bit mountainous bit the drive back pretty straight shot.”
